The Keeler Lab (https://www.umassmed.edu/keelerlab/) in the Horae Gene Therapy Center at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position to develop chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T regulatory cells (Tregs) for Neuroinflammatory diseases. The Keeler Lab focuses on understanding and modulating immune responses to gene therapies and developing novel immunomodulatory cell therapies.
Applicants should have a PhD degree in relevant areas such as immunology, neuroscience, molecular biology, or virology. Applicants highly skilled in CAR T development, immunoassays, flow cytometry, histology, molecular cloning, mouse modeling are preferred but not required. Applicants must also have the ability to work independently, coordinate multiple projects and activities concurrently. In addition, the potential candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills and be eager to present research results at national meetings, as well as strong interpersonal skills. Candidates should be highly organized, hard-working and motivated to respond to the changes within the rapidly evolving field of cell and gene therapy.
