Working under the direction of the AEVC for Market Growth and Transformation and in collaboration with ForHealth Consulting executive and solution set leaders and enabling partners, the Entity Chief Quality Officer (ECQO) will facilitate and execute the organizational quality and healthcare operations business growth strategy with a critical focus on:

  • Healthcare Operations Market Readiness & Growth
    • Product development based on market demand, including identifying organizational capabilities and competencies required to build products that meet market demands.
  • Internal Quality Processes & Performance Improvement
  • External Client Engagement & Subject Matter Expertise

The ECQO will direct and enable business units in evaluating quality processes and identifying opportunities for improvement, as well as supporting the healthcare operations market growth strategy by identifying trends in the environment and opportunities to build healthcare operations solutions to solve complex problems in related markets. The ECQO will also serve as a revenue-generating consultant on engagements that require subject matter expertise in healthcare quality, regulatory and accreditation consulting.

Healthcare Operations Market Readiness & Growth

  • Drive development of a suite of health care operations products that would address gaps in the health care operations market.
  • Conduct analysis of:
  • Health care market trends and potential domains of needed services
  • Market supply and demand for healthcare operations consulting service domain, including gathering qualitative data from healthcare leaders and other partners about market demands.
  • Market potential, market share, competitors, revenue/margin opportunity (ROI)
  • Required clinical competencies and skills for potential product(s) or domains.
  • Lead product development and introduce healthcare operations product capabilities that will drive continued profitable growth.
  • Identify required skills and competencies for identified product(s)
  • Evaluate existing ForHealth skills and competencies and conduct gap analysis.
  • Build organizational experience and expertise (based on any identified gaps), and/or position ForHealth for success through:
        • Trainings and certifications
        • Strategic partnerships
        • Joint ventures
        • Professional association memberships
  • Define differentiating competence and competitive advantage for the identified product(s) or domains, including creation of value propositions for ForHealth and prospective clients.
      • Identify and evaluate any necessary organizational investment (resources needed to launch, including enabling technology)
  • Drive product sales and revenue generation of identified product(s)
  • Utilize professional networks to identify opportunities for targeted marketing of products.
  • Identify prospective clients and lead opportunity sessions.

Internal Quality Processes & Performance Improvement

  • Lead entity-wide quality programs, focusing efforts on quality control processes which improve business outcomes and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of products and services for both internal and external clients.
  • Work collaboratively with executive and operational leaders to design and implement operational strategies and tactics to improve the outcomes desired.
  • Accountable for coordinating identified initiatives, programs, and achievements, in the areas of operational effectiveness and other related quality areas.
  • Serve as an internal quality leader to executive and operational leaders in the areas of regulatory, process improvement, and performance monitoring.
  • Lead development of identified business unit-specific quality programs to include data collection, aggregating and analyzing data, policies, and procedures development (as needed) and key performance indicators/quality metrics, to facilitate ongoing quality monitoring at the local level.
    • Facilitate root cause analysis of business process, quality, or compliance issues; supports development and implementation of continuous quality improvement.
    • Support leaders to capitalize on lessons learned and perform in accordance with quality best practice, striving to mitigate risk and promote compliance with internal processes and procedures.
    • Drive towards an organizational focus on better healthcare value and quality, including the improvement of business outcomes, costs, revenue, productivity, efficiency, client satisfaction, and process reliability.

Oversee all aspects of quality management and serve as a key contributor to ForHealths risk and compliance functions. Provides oversight of the quality plan development and the implementation of quality improvement efforts designed to improve performance.

External Client Engagement Subject Matter Expertise

  • Serve as a healthcare operations consultant and provide identified products and services to external ForHealth clients.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for quality, safety, regulatory and accreditation readiness.
  • Identifies opportunities to cross or upsell with existing client organizations.

Identifies target market withing their professional network to enhance business growth and cross/up sell.

  • Master's Level Degree or equivalent in business, health services, or health administration
  • 10+ years experience in increasingly senior managerial and executive positions preferably in healthcare quality.
  • Experience with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) conditions of participation for acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, and other related healthcare settings as well as CMS survey processes.
  • Current knowledge of Joint Commission, state, and federal guidelines, regulations, and standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of external clinical quality reporting requirements.
  • Experience coordinating, preparing, and participating in state, Joint Commission, and CMS surveys within past three years.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.

Preferred Education:

  • Licensed or registered healthcare clinician in nursing, allied health, medicine, or related clinical fields.
